WHERE WE ARE

MIRTA Natural Cosmetics was created on a beautiful green island of the northern Adriatic – Losinj. Losinj is the island of varied and lush vegetation, with 1018 plant species, and over 200 species of medicinal herbs. There are numerous herbs that can heal the soul and body. The richness of plant species, the first quality sea and air, Losinj make up the aromatherapy center and the destination of vitality and health. Here is nature in the service of wellness because the scents that dominate the island are unique. Can you imagine a better and more beautiful environment for creating natural cosmetics?

MEDICINAL HERBS AS A MEDICINE

The fragrances and the richness of medicinal plants of this peculiar archipelago were my inspiration for the creation of the first creams and the launch of cosmetics production. MIRTA products were created with careful thought, taking only the best of herbs and with a strict selection of natural ingredients. These are effective products for the true pleasure and beauty of the face and body.

INSPIRATION

We, who live on the island of Lošinj 365 days a year, take all the benefits from nature, strolling through the beautiful pine forests, breathing the air rich in aerosols, swimming in the crystal sea … I was thinking to find a way to allow our guests and friends who visit Lošinj only sometimes, to take with them a fraction of Lošinj and to have it with them whenever they want it? Cosmetic products for women, men and children have been imposed as a logical sequence of my thinking because we use it every day, several times a day. Because of that, the quality of these products is very important. If we want to preserve our health and beauty, return to nature is the necessity. So, only natural products can be the right choice.

SIMPLE SKINCARE THAT WORKS

We believe a little care and simple, but efficient products, go a long way. Our approach means we are ingredient minimalists – we like leaving stuff out rather than putting more in. Skincare doesn’t have to be complicated, but it has to work. That means we make products that don’t claim to do a million things, but always deliver on what they promise. Natural herbal and essential oils, dried ground herbs, natural bee wax, macerates, fine aromatic floral water … these are the main ingredients of MIRTA cosmetics based on their own recipes. All substances in products, as well in the finished products, are certified by authorized institutions.

MADE WITH CARE

We never test our products on animals or use raw materials that have been tested on animals. We strive to use as locally and sustainably produced ingredients as possible, always focusing on quality, safety and efficacy. For packaging we use glass and aluminium, with a minimum of plastic. The production takes place in small series so the products are always fresh and fragrant.

MIRTA is a small family business whose basic mission is to produce natural cosmetic products to all who want to improve their health. It is very important for us to be in line with trends, so we are continually pursuing research, perfecting and upgrading our knowledge in the effort to create innovative, natural and effective products for the body and face beauty – products MIRTA!
