How will we design the box?
Those who regularly follow us, know that our products are made of medicinal herbs on the island of Lošinj. The specific nature of Lošinj is made by the combination of the scent of pine trees, medicinal herbs and aerosols that create a unique aromatherapy in the open air. The sea and the air of the highest quality, and more than 1000 plant species make our beautiful island an aromatherapy center.
The flora of island Lošinj is very important to us, so we dedicate a whole month to some of the plants, depending on when that plant blooms, yields fruit, or when its medicinal effect is at its peak.
The month of February is dedicated to citrus fruits, so we declare it the month of lemon, orange, mandarin and grapefruit!
LEMON
The Mediterranean lemon plant has always been considered one of the healthiest and has been used for various health issues. In history, lemon has been used in long boat trips to prevent scurvy. Today, we all know that lemon is an excellent source of vitamin C. Lemon essential oil is obtained from the lemon peel by cold pressing. When you cut into the lemon, you can smell the refreshing scent and see tiny beads of liquid – they contain essential oil. Lemon essential oil is used for many various purposes, it should definitely be found in an aromatherapy home pharmacy. It is used for refreshing and disinfecting the air, for cracked capillaries, cellulite, liver cleansing, indigestion, oily skin, brittle nails, stress and nervousness.
ORANGE
Orange essential oil has a refreshing, soothing, antiseptic, bactericidal, anti-inflammatory and carminative effect. It is one of the most popular and commonly used essential oils because it has many medicinal properties: it stimulates the burning of fat cells, stimulates the expulsion of excess fluid from the body, and is therefore a common ingredient in anti-cellulite preparations; stimulates the secretion of digestive juices, relieves bloating, constipation and cramps; stimulates liver function, stimulates the elimination of toxins and other harmful substances from the body; relaxes and helps to reduce stress and tension; relieves of chronic fatigue.
MANDARIN
Mandarin essential oil is very mild so it is an excellent choice for children, but it is also very powerful so it is used in the following conditions: to relieve tension, anxiety, fears, depression; insomnia; to relieve childhood problems such as colic, hiccups, hyperactivity; eliminates the feeling of nausea, stimulates the digestive system.
GRAPEFRUIT
Grapefruit accelerates the breakdown of fat cells, stimulates the excretion of toxins and excess water from the body – this action is used in the treatment of obesity and cellulite; it has a stimulating effect on the whole organism; to relieve muscle fatigue and stiffness; in seasonal depression and lethargy; tones and cleanses oily and acne prone skin.
